Singing Bowl Curation for Inner Healing & Outer Beauty

My sound bowl journey began in 2020 when my husband gifted me a C# frosted quartz bowl. I had never played one nor attended a live sound bath! Little did I know that this gift would become the foundation of a unique harmonious collection that continues to grow.

Some people instantly feel the resonance of the music that emanates from these instruments deep within their bodies. At first, I needed the more intense, bold tones of gongs to feel the vibrations. It took years for me to tune into the subtler sensations evoked by crystal quartz bowls. I grew up playing the piano from elementary school through high school graduation (and considered minoring in music theory in college), but until my 40s I was largely disconnected from my body. Music was out there. My body was a mystery over here. The two did not connect… but did they?

Fast forward to 2025, and my background in graphic and interior design, somatic training (much of which includes chakra theory), and vocal instruction have all added to my desire to help others find the beauty, joy and healing of creating personal soundscapes.

why are aesthetics important?

Our living space reflects our inner terrain.

Try this exercise…
Sit comfortably, take a few deep breaths, and relax for a moment. Close your eyes and imagine the place in which you currently live. Roam through the whole space in your mind’s eye. As you go into each room, look at each piece of furniture and all the decor.

Find the spot in your living space you like most, the one associated with the most positive feelings. It could be a cozy corner of your family room or a pretty collection of baubles and such on a shelf.

Now, as you imagine the best place in your home, extend your imagination further. Pretend that you ARE the most favorite spot in your home. Imagine yourself BECOMING the perfectly-pillowed bed or the cozy kitchen table overlooking the serene lake.

Embody yourself take on the physical structure, lighting, smell, and feel of this place.

Open your eyes and begin speaking aloud or writing a self-description—not as you the person, but as the most favorite part of your living space. Describe yourself, not thinking, just letting the words flow. Use at least three adjectives or adjectival phrases to describe yourself—remember, you’re writing in FIRST PERSON as the place in your home. For example, “I am the uncluttered art table in my sunroom. I’m a blank canvas with a plethora of brushes and tubes of paints all around me. I design my reality every time I choose to pick up a brush. I am creative, expansive, and sovereign.”

How does this feel in your body?

How about creating another favorite space through your collection of sound bowls?

Aesthetics vary from person to person.

One’s definition of beauty is a rainbow of colors, while another finds peace and joy in a monochromatic color palette. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I believe that when we align with whatever looks and feels good, harmonious energy will naturally flow in and through us.

A collection of bowls that are melodious in both tone and color (in addition to being meaningful for your particular chakra imbalances) will bring magic to your body, mind, spirit, and your living space.

where to begin?

additional Considerations

As I’ve slowly built my sound bowl collection over the years, several questions and concerns have come to mind. These considerations are worth sharing.

ARE SOUND BOWLS ECO-FRIENDLY?
The short answer is yes!

We live in a highly consumerist society, more so today than ever with the ease of online shopping and global shipping. I carry only products that I feel are kind to our planet. I carefully source ceremonial cacao and share its benefits (to the body and to the earth). The small collection of gemstones I sell are truly “ethically-sourced.” Prioritizing direct relationships, worker empowerment, and regenerative practices are all at the top of mind for me when developing relationships with my partners.

Curating custom sound bowl collections is my newest adventure, and transparency is fundamental. This is an ever-evolving process. You can read more about the eco-friendly benefits of quartz crystal sound bowls.

CAN YOU WORK WITH ME IF I DON’T LIVE IN FLORIDA (OR EVEN IN THE UNITED STATES)?
Yes, absolutely! Should you choose to move forward with the purchase of bowls, they will be custom made for you and can be shipped around the world.

HOW DO I KNOW IF THE BOWLS ARE RIGHT FOR ME IF I CAN’T PHYSICALLY PLAY THEM FIRST?
Most people don’t have the advantage of living near a sound bowl retailer with a vast inventory. The internet has made it easy to shop online for bowls of all notes and many colors, styles, etc. Videos and sound clips are often included on retail websites. I’ve purchased in-person as well as online, and can see the benefits of both. I’ve never been disappointed with my online choices, however, finding the right bowls to harmonize (both musically and aesthetically) has proven to be extremely time-consuming.

Discovering that I could source a plethora of beautiful bowls customized to the exact notes I’m seeking has opened up a whole new world for me. The bowls I source are both gorgeous and carefully tuned to my specifications, ensuring a harmonious ensemble every time.
